Actor Nate Parker, who's recently received high marks for his performance in Red Tails and Red Hook Summer, can now add the title "executive producer" to his resume since he's joined award-winning author China Galland to release a powerful documentary based on Galland's book, Love Cemetery, Unburying The Secret History of Slaves, dealing with the illegal lockout of African American descendants from their family burial grounds.

It's titled simply Chocó, a film set in Colombia, which centers on the struggles of a 27-year-old mother of 2 (the titular Chocó), working a poorly-paid job in a gold mine, living in a tiny wooden hut, who's married to a reckless and abusive man named Everlides, a marimba player who gambles away their life savings.

Here are some official looks at Saul Williams and Aissa Maiga in French-Senegalese director Alain Gomis 3rd feature film titled Aujourd'hui (or Today in English), which is scheduled to make its world premiere in competition at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival (which opens its doors on February 9th).

The recently slimmed-down diva, Ms Raven-Symoné is set to take over the lead role in the Broadway musical Sister Act (based on the hit 1992 movie of the same name), replacing Patina Miller (who originated the role from the start) as Deloris Van Cartier (the character Whoopi Goldberg played in the original film and its sequel).
