Documentary festival DOC NYC returns for its second year to Greenwich Village November 2-10. The festival will showcase 107 events, including screenings of 52 feature-length films and 40 shorts as well as 15 doc-related panel discussions.

New Year's Eve, set to be released in theaters nationwide this December 9th, just released its new poster. Halle starts things off and LUUda is at the center. The Gary Marshall-directed film is a follow-up to last year’s Valentine’s day, also directed by Marshall.

The motto being "if at first you don't succeed try again"... As you may recall, Spike Lee's Malcolm X was scheduled to come out earlier this year in January 2011 on blu-ray DVD, but was suddenly pulled out from the its announced release date because of a music rights clearance problem.
