Dana "Queen Latifah" Owens, via her Flavor Untt Entertainment production company has sold a female-lead police procedural pilot to CBS, which will center on "a street savvy Philadelphia woman who realizes her calling as a homicide detective after a defining moment."

Damn! This must have been a lot of work... the rediting, and the upload time to YouTube! Anyway, thanks to the geekster who put the work in, the rest of us can watch and appreciate his hard work. But I wonder how long this is will stay up, once it spreads... and it's spreading, although, thus far, it's only been played about 2,400 times.

Thus far, it seems like John Boyega is the only star (of all the young black men) from this summer's Brit hit Attack The Block to see his profile enjoy any real post-Attack The Block push (here in the USA anyway), scoring the lead role in the Spike Lee-directed boxing drama for HBO titled Da Brick. And rightfully so I suppose; he was the film's hero!

Aha! There he is! I knew he was in this flick, despite the fact that he was just about absent from the film's first trailer (posted back in September). We see more of him in this one still image than we did in the entire 3-minute trailer.

No time wasted here... a day after it was announced that CNN weekend anchor T.J. Holmes would be leaving the network at the end of this year, comes word that BET has snatched up LL Cool T.J., signing him to "a multi-platform talent deal" which will include hosting a new show on BET, as well as contributions to its website BET.com.
