Zoe Saldana Will Make Directorial Debut With "Glamour" Short Film; Will Debut Online In October

It shouldn't be news that Zoe Saldana wants to get behind the camera and direct. We've told you that a few times - most recently in May, when it was announced that she would be directing episodes of Vin Diesel's new web series with Fox, titled The Ropes - an original web series about the lives of bouncers. She also mentioned that she was in the running to direct a film in Montreal, though she was greedy with the details.

Actor Wendell Pierce (Treme, The Wire and nearly 80 other film and TV roles) may be many things, but one thing he is definitely is not, is a fan of the film The Help. This week he Tweeted a dialogue after seeing the film, and while he had praise for both Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer, he said that the film was "a passive version of the terror of Jim Crow South."

If you blink, you'll miss Michael Ealy. And even though I'm not the biggest fan of the franchise, I'd be remiss if I didn't give some recognition to Kevin Grevioux who's been involved with every film in the 4-film series (thus far), as a writer and/or actor. He actually created the original concept/premise and wrote the first screenplay with director Len Wiseman, which launched the franchise.
