Helmed by Sonia Gonzalez-Martinez, the very amusing 8-min film Urban Lullaby, will be featured this month at the first annual International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival at the Poet's Den Theater and Gallery in Spanish Harlem this month. The film stars Tammi Cubilette, Dominic Colón and Frankie Martinez.

As we've mentioned a number of times on this site... for filmmakers chasing Hollywood dreams, one potential route to take that's proven to be successful for a number of filmmakers in the recent past, is to consider investing in a solid high-concept or genre short film (note the bold on those 2 words) that's preferably less than 10 minutes long, stick it up on the web, tell the whole world, and hope for the best!

Almost 20 years (wow, that long?) after Sister Act was released in the US, Harlem-based Queen Mother Dr Delois Blakely, a real-life former Roman Catholic nun, with a pair of Ivy League degrees, has now come forward with claims that her life was the inspiration for the film, and has officially launched a lawsuit against Disney and Sony Pictures.
