Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive look at the first three chapters of Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's YA novel titled Playground, which is said to be a semi-autobiographical story about a 13-year-old bully named Butterball.

I haven't counted all the submissions yet, but I'd estimate that it's somewhere north of 60 - so just about the same as the last 2 challenges. And just as was the case for the first 2, I received about 90% of all entries on the last day! Some were flying in during the final hour!

It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this year; HBO later acquired US TV rights; and now we have an official release date and trailer for Sing Your Song, the Harry Belafonte documentary-styled biopic, which covers his life as an actor and an activist.

Titled Usain Bolt: The Fastest Man Alive, the two-part 2-hour long documentary centered on the Olympic and World 100 meter record holder, has been picked up by BBC1.

This one is titled The Pursuit, and said to be an action thriller which will star Curtis ''50 Cent'' Jackson, to be directed by none other than Mr Jesse Terrero, the same cat who brought us that classic of black cinema known as Soul Plane.

Breaking News! NBC shuts down "The Playboy Club"

An inside source involved in the production of NBC's The Playboy Club just informed me that the show has indeed been cancelled. Of course this news comes as no surprise to those of us whom have followed the show since its premiere. With the steep decline in ratings seen after each episode aired, it was inevitable that the doors were set to close on NBC's period-piece series.
