Originally scheduled to be released in January, Paramount has pushed the release date for A Thousand Words back even further, to March 23rd instead.

Talented Chicago independent filmmaker James Reed Jr's genuinely funny and sweet natured feature comedy Get A Job, chronicles the crazy and choatic situations when a well-meaning and determined, but hapless young comic (Corey Hendrix) with his best friend (Milton "Lil' Rell" Howery), try to find a job to support himself and his wife. However after having no luck, Hendrix and his friend decide to go into business themselves, with a plan to open their own comedy club, only to wind up getting in way over their heads.

Utilizing social networking site Twitter quite often and effectively, Spike Lee has been keeping his followers up-to-date on his current project, the secretive Red Hook Summer. About a month ago, he announced that principal photography was complete, and attached a photo of his elated self.

No "black films" opening this weekend, but film festivals abound... notably the Urbanworld Film Festival which opened yesterday and runs through Sunday; although screenings take place just today and tomorrow. Sunday is reserved for awards.

That's right folks, read it and weep. Snoop Dogg has made a deal with veteran TV sit-com producer Don Reo (who has sit-coms such as My Wife and Kids and Two and a Half Men to his credits) and Warner Bros TV, to star as the father in a still untitled new sit-com.
