The film documentary, I'm Carolyn Parker: The Good, the Mad and the Beautiful will screen at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. I'm Carolyn Parker, directed by Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs, Beloved, Rachel Getting Married), depicts the inspiring personal journey of ex-civil rights activist Carolyn Parker, as she returns to her community's flood devastation after hurricane Katrina and struggles to rebuild her New Orleans home.

This project has been in post-production for a while now, as it was filmed back in 2009. According to its imdb, it should be released sometime this year, maybe. I also didn't see it profiled at the site, so here we go.

Writer/director of Pariah, Dee Rees has reportedly switched representation, moving from UTA, who initially signed her soon after her film debuted at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, to WME. No particular reasons were given.
