Don't know how we missed this news but accordingly to showbiz411 (via our sister blog The Playlist), soul singer Maxwell has been added to the Lee Daniels flick The Paperboy.

The Suicide Kids, a teen horror flick being produced by Idris Elba, just had a name change. The film is now called Demons Never Die.

To be introduced by DJ Wiz, and directors Hasan Pore and Ron Lawrence, a screening of Founding Fathers is scheduled for later this month - a 2009 documentary that "expands the scope" of the commonly accepted origins of hip-hop culture, by "looking at influential artists from Queens and Brooklyn, including the Disco Twins, Dance Master, and Grand Master Flowers"

Coincidentally, I recently re-read Edgar Rice Burrough's other "white stranger in a strange land" work, Tarzan (he wrote the John Carter series as well, FYI). His influence is still evident, considering recent films like James Cameron's Avatar. But I believe this is one of those titles fanboys have been anticipating since first announced; so if you're one of them, here ya go. You can drool now:
