Black films that came out during the 1970's get too often shortchanged when people dismiss them as just "blaxplotataion" movies. The reality was that there was an extraordinary range of black films released threatrically during that period that dealt with every type of genre from action to dramas to comedies to romance to art house to documentaries. The 1972 film Black Rodeo is a case in point.

Here's another look at Taraji P. Henson, Henry Simmons, Michael Clarke Duncan, Tom Felton, Letoya Luckett, and others in the upcoming sports drama From the Rough, produced and directed by Pierre Bagley. It's actually a video compilation from the 2011 PGA Minority Collegiate Championship, with clips of the movie included at 1:00, 2:55 and 3:30 marks.

Not long ago, she let everyone know that plans were in the works to do some revamping. However, now comes word that her publication, O Magazine, is also struggling with ad sales.
