Last week, Europa Corp released the first trailer for the upcoming Zoe Saldana revenge thriller, Colombiana; The yet-to-be-rated revenge actioner about a young woman who grows up to be a stone-cold assassin, after witnessing the murder of her parents in Bogota, is produced by Luc Besson, with Olivier Megaton assuming directing duties.

He hasn't been behind the camera since 2009's Law Abiding Citizen; since then he's been attached to a Marvin Gaye biopic, and the film adaptation of the video game titled Kane & Lynch, which was/is to star Jamie Foxx and Bruce Willis; though nothing has happened on either front.

Well, look what we have here... I figured it'd be just a matter of time before someone uploaded this... and, sure enough, here it is - episode 1 of that new Chiwetel Ejiofor BBC crime series, The Shadow Line , which made its TV debut on BBC 2, in the UK, last week Thursday!

O.K. so it didn't hit the $16 million mark that was orginally projected on Friday, but still Jumping The Broom came in third, with just under $14 million, which is still an excellent opening for the very modestly budgeted $6 million rom-com.

I came across this a couple of days ago while searching online for information about another film. Actually, it was the image that caught my attention, only to then find out that it's going to be screening at Cannes as part of the Director's Fortnight sidebar. Written and directed by Belgian filmmaker Gust Van den Berghe, Blue Bird traverses the world and imaginations of two young African siblings as they go in search of a missing pet.
