I'm opting out of writing a review of this movie; I have little positive to say about it (well, maybe except for Giancarlo Esposito's few minutes on screen); so instead of doing the expected and beating it up in a critique (trust me, it's too easy), I decided to give you a balanced look at what other reviews are saying about the film.

Good news for those in New York City who haven't been able to see it yet, since it opened at the IFC Center last weekend; it's apparently been doing very well, and has been extended for a second week (if it wasn't doing well, it would've had its 1-week run, today would've been its last day, and it would've moved on).

I hope you're sitting down for this one guys because, a report just hit the web stating that a sequel to Alex Cross (starring Tyler Perry), is apparently in the works, even though the first film of the Tyler Perry era hasn't been released yet (it's out this weekend).
