Gil Noble Ends His Legendary Hosting Duties on 'Like It Is'

For those unaware, especially readers in NYC and the surrounding areas, it was reported last week that because of debilitating stroke, legendary veteran journalist Gil Noble, longtime host of African diasporic news and public affairs program Like It Is, has decided not to return to the program for good, ending a run that began in 1968.

That Mahalia Jackson biopic with Fantasia Barrino to be directed by Sugar Cane Alley director Euzhan Palcy is now pretty iffy if it ever gets made and those behind the scenes are blaming Barrino.

Childcare specialist Deborah Tillman has been named host of Lifetime Network's new reality show "America’s Supernanny" which will premiere on Tuesday, November 29 at 9/8central. In the show, Tillman will visit the homes of parents throughout the U.S. seeking guidance and assistance on how to best raise their children.
