With his Stephen Lloyd Jackson's last film, the acclaimed award-winning 2011 drama David Is Dying, behind him, the writer/director is moving ahead with his next feature, said to be part of his "Sex And Race" trilogy of films, titled Sable Fable.

Last fall, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. announced that Kevin Tancharoen had signed on to direct a new big-screen, live-action adaptation of Mortal Kombat. This came after the success of the live-action web series Tancharoen created, which starred Michael Jai White as Jax for a few episodes, and which we featured on this site in its entirety.

To be honest, I'm really getting bored with all these Black Panther movie teases. If it's going to happen Marvel Entertainment, then, damnit, make it so! Just do it! You continue to announce new projects, one after the other, whether sequels to existing franchises, or properties you haven't explored on film yet; but, despite years of conversation about this, still no definite move on Black Panther, or really any other black superhero in your library, since Blade... right?

You'll hopefully recall the ImagiNations Pan-African project in which a series of six feature films based on contemporary African literature would be produced - an initiative created and spearheaded by Djo Tunda Wa Munga and Steve Markovitz, the writer/director and producer team behind last year's Viva Riva!.
