ReShonda Tate Billingsley's 'Let The Church Say Amen' Optioned For BET Original, Regina King Directs

According to author ReShonda Tate Billingsby, winner of the Gold Pen Award for Best New Author for My Brother's Keeper, her 2005 novel Let The Church Say Amen will be adapted as a BET Original film, which is set to be directed by actress Regina King and produced by Queen Latifah's Flava Unit Company.

Jennifer Hudson is also in negotiations to join Jackson and Bassett, who were last seen in the Katori Hall/Kenny Leon acclaimed broadway production The Mountaintop.
