Written and directed by Jason Barrett, the Vision in Progress British production The Naked Poet, is currently seeking supporters via their website. The film, a romantic comedy about a man named Lazarus caught in a love triangle between his girlfriend and a newfound love, needs a 100,000 signatures in order to receive theatrical distribution in the UK.

The 2012 film festival beat goes on... it's already mid-April; where did the time go? I feel like I only recently got back from SXSW in Austin, TX, looking forward to relaxing in NYC (where I live) for a few months before jetting off to another festival, which wouldn't be until June, less than 2 months away.

Ok, this is long, and I haven't had time to look through it completely for highlights, but after a really quick skim, I see that some of what's revealed has already been covered here on S&A, like Being Mary Jane, and the acquisition of Sheldon Candis' LUV; but premiering Ava DuVernay's Middle Of Nowhere is certainly news worth mentioning.
