As he notes himself in the interview, he’s certainly been stacking up the projects over the last couple of years, since Precious, and with each one, I've wondered when Lee Daniels was going to actually, finally get the chance to make one of them? Since the theatrical release of Precious, Daniels’ name has been attached to quite a few projects – Selma, Miss Saigon, Iced, Anna In The Tropics, The Butler, and more, including, most recently, The Paperboy, based on an award-winning novel of the same name, written by Pete Dexter - a film that's making its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this week.

When it was announced back in January that Arsenio Hall was one of the new participants in this season's Celebrity Apprentice on NBC, I criticized him for joining the show (Read HERE). I wondered what self-respecting black person would agree to appear in a show with such a blatant racist big like Donald Trump.

Lots of chatter on- and offline about the 7-minute preview of Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained that screened for audiences at the Cannes Film Festival today; lots of excitement, and from all I've read from those who were in attendance, nothing but praise for that short glimpse... as if there wasn't already before today's reveal.
