A few weeks ago, I received a new trailer for Color Outside the Lines, an engaging documentary that gives an honest voice to the history, struggles and triumphs of African-American tattoo artists. I never posted it at Shadow and Act because, well, shit happens! It goes that way sometimes; things get buried or lost and you fall a step behind in the game, but what’s important is that I have it now; and I can also say that I’ve seen an early screener of the film and nope [wags finger]…I’ll save that discussion for another day. Since then, the team behind the film, Artemus Jenkins [director] and Miya Bailey [artist | producer] have launched an official website for the film. For readers who missed my initial post on the film, check it out, HERE.
