Raising funds via Indiegogo, the documentary Black and Cuba, directed by Robin J. Hayes, professor at The New School, follows a group of disadvantaged African American students at the prestigious Yale University, who take a field trip to Cuba to see "how revolution lives," and to get inspiration in order to pursue their own black resistance reading group.

Millenium Films' A Little Bit of Heaven, directed by Nicole Kassell and written by Gren Wells, will open on limited release May 4, 2012, and will see a DVD release on June 12, 2012. The film has been available on Itunes since April 3rd. The rom-com about a young woman dealing with life with cancer, stars Kate Hudson, Gael Garcia Bernal, Kathy Bates, Rosemarie DeWitt, Romany Malco, Whoopi Goldberg amongst others.

Last fall, IFC Films acquired stateside rights to this Samuel L. Jackson starrer - the David Weaver-directed Neo Noir thriller titled The Samaritan, which co-stars Ethiopian-Irish actress Ruth Negga and Brit Tom Wilkinson.
