Great conversation between Neil deGrasse Tyson and Nichelle Nichols.
The conversation itself is maybe 2 years old, from what I could determine, but it's still very much worth listening to, so check it out below.
Of course they discuss the story of how Martin Luther King Jr. persuaded Nichols to remain on the original Star Trek series as Lt. Uhura when she almost left the show after its first season, to pursue her Broadway dreams.
But they discuss a lot more, all in a very casual, engaging manner. It's good stuff, and was recorded on Tyson's StarTalk program.
