ABC Announces Air Date For Horror Drama "The River (Try To Spot Co-Star Shaun Parkes In Trailer)

ABC has finally announced that Paranormal Activity director Oren Peli's midseason replacement for the network, The River, will air on February 07, 2012. British actor Shaun Parkes (Clubbed, The Mummy, Moses Jones) co-stars in the "thriller" that is sure to conjure up feelings for and delight fans of past ABC show, Lost. And even though it's a brief appearance, I'm glad Parkes made it into the show's trailer.

According to ABC:

The River follows the story of wildlife expert and TV personality Emmet Cole. Emmet set course around the world with his wife, Tess, and son, Lincoln, while filming what would become one of the most popular shows in television. After he goes missing deep in the Amazon, his family, friends and crew set out on a mysterious and deadly journey to find him.

Parkes plays a character named Adjay, who I'm going to go out on a limb and say is a videographer with Emmet Cole's crew.

YES! This show looks amazingly cool. I'm a little worried because I've heard that it's going to be more like "The X-Files" than "LOST", but still looking forward to seeing what they are going to do with it.

I've been following all the news over at http://www.theriverofmystery.com and can't wait until February 7th!
