If I wasn't aware that director Roland Emmerich, the once so-called "master of disaster" studio movies, was a champion of equal rights, and an active campaigner for the awareness of global warming, and whose college thesis film was a sci-fi project titled The Noah's Ark Principle, it would be easy to simply dismiss his films as mindless, special effects-laden, cliched, formulaic narratives.

From multi-media development, production and distribution studio RadioactiveGiant, comes a project titled Killing Winston Jones - a feature film starring Richard Dreyfuss and Danny Glover, and directed by actor/director Joel David Moore (this will be his second feature film directorial effort; in 2007, he helmed a thriller titled Spiral, which was well-received, and won some awards on the festival circuit).

Here's your first look at Danny Glover in the upcoming slave uprising film, Tula, The Revolt, from Dutch director Jeroen Leinders, which is based on a true story about a slave uprising on the island of Curacao, a Dutch colony in 1795, and the man called Tula, who stood up against his oppressors, and led the revolt that would last about a month.

Martin Glover, Danny Glover's younger brother, has worked in the film industry since the early 1990s (according to his IMDB resume), assuming various behind the scenes roles on numerous projects (a few that older brother Danny starred in, like Predator 2, Lethal Weapon 4 and the very first Saw movie).
