I haven't done thorough research, but I'd say that, given the number of pilot casting announcements we've posted in the last couple of weeks or so, there seem to be a lot more black actors getting jobs than there were during pilot casting season last year.

I learned about a compelling project recently and found it important enough to share with this audience. The Championship Rounds is the story of a young, deaf, African American boxer and single father of a 6 month- old son whose life is against the ropes on the brink of homelessness. After being stricken with tragedy, James receives an unlikely shot at redemption, and now his very survival is dependent on his faith and his decision to seize the moment.
