More Advanced Screening Dates for Laurens Grant's "Jesse Owens" Documentary (NYC)

Here are a few more chances to see Laurens Grant's acclaimed documentary on 1936 Olympic champion Jesse Owens on the big screen, ahead of its PBS premiere.

The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem will screen the film tonight at 7pm, with a discussion to follow. The event is free and open to the public but tickets are required. More details and tickets can be secured HERE.

On Monday, April 30, New York Women in Film and Television will screen the film as part of its NYWIFT/HSBC screening series. That event happens at 7pm at the Norwood Club at 241 West 14th Street. Event details may be found HERE.

And for those outside New York, you can tune into the broadcast premiere of Jesse Owens on the PBS series American Experience on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 8:00 pm (check local listings).
