I'm not sure how many of you know that the upcoming spy/romance flick This Means War (which stars Chris Pine, Tom Hardy and Reese Witherspoon) was actually produced by Will Smith and his Overbrook Entertainment production company; AND that Angela Bassett has a supporting role in it as well.
And if you didn't know, well, now you do!
If you weren't planning on seeing it, will this news change your mind? It doesn't change mine. All I've seen of the film thus far, including its trailer, haven't done much for me, so I'll likely skip it.
Anyway... Angela Bassett is completely absent from the trailer (there might be others in which she's feature, but I looked and didn't see one); she's not one of the stars, so c'est la vie; and her audience demographic isn't necessarily the one that the film is targeting anyway, so showing her in the trailer probably won't have much of an effect on who goes to see the film.
All that said, I figured I'd give her some *shine* anyway, as one of our shall I say treasured talents, despite the fact that her role in this might be relatively minor.
In the video, she talks specifically about her character in the film, and working with Pine and Hardy (underneath you'll find a trailer for the film if you haven't seen it):
And here's the trailer for the film:
