A reminder to catch Anika Noni Rose in part one of A&E's 4-hour miniseries, Bag of Bones (an adaptation of Stephen King's award-winning 1998 novel), this Sunday, December 11; at 9pm EST; the 2-hour conclusion will air the following night.

The two-day event, based on the Stephen King horror novel, also stars Pierce Brosnan, Annabeth Gish, Melissa George, William Schallert and Caitlin Carmichael.

Anika plays Sara Tidwell, a dead blues singer who was gang-raped and forced to witness the murder of her young child, and now wants revenge. Her ghost haunts the house of bestselling novelist Brosnan who is fighting a bitter custody battle - according to the Stephen King novel anyway. I'm not sure if all of that is translated to the screen adaptation, because I haven't seen it.

The images above and below are Anika in character.

Take a look at the preview and poster below.

Read the book. Will pass on Steven King's "white rednecks gang rape and murder black woman" dreams and fantasies. Especially because the black woman's ghost was written as villainous by King.

Been watching the commercials. Can't wait. T did mention her character being gang-raped above the trailer - but she gets her revenge on.

Wow, as I clicked this link, I thought to myself "Good for her, as long as her character doesn't get sexually assaulted" and guess what? She gets raped! Anika Noni Rose has been raped more times than any other actress I've seen. What is that about?

All of this. She looks so beautiful in the photo though, but I agree alot of her roles seem to end in assault or abuse of some sort.
