Anthony Mackie Joins Jennifer Connelly In Paul Bettany's Directing Debut 'Shelter'

Anthony Mackie has booked a role in actor Paul Bettany's directing debut (from his own script), an indie feature titled Shelter.

Bettany's wife, Jennifer Connelly, will also appear in a film whose plot is currently being kept under-wraps.

Shooting is scheduled to begin later this year in New York City, with BiFrost Pictures financing and producing, and Robert Ogden Barnum, Katie Mustard and Bettany co-producing.

Voltage Pictures will shop international rights at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Mackie will next be seen in George Tillman Jr.'s The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister And Pete in theaters on October 11, in limited release. He also joined Octavia Spencer to co-star alongside Kevin Costner in a drama titled Black And White.
