About That Popular 'Black Films Don't Sell ...Arsenio Hall Talk Show A Definite Go For Fall 2013
CBS TV Distribution, which is syndicating the show, has announced that the show has already been picked up by enough local stations to cover 85% of the country.
According to them, the show has been picked up mainly by the same type of stations that carried his previous talk show back during the 1980's and early 90's - independent stations now affiliated with the CW Network, Fox stations and Tribune Broadcasting stations.
Accorring to CBS distrib sales president Joe DiSalvo: "Most have given the show prime real estate as the lead out from their local late newscasts. They recognize the potential to have the breakout hit in latenight."

Great points. In a way Arsenio was like the Don Cornelius of his generation. Plus he's funny, I hope his show is a hit.

What made the Arsenio Hall show so special back in the day was his bringing on acts and actors who would have never appeared on Letterman or Leno or other late night shows. Now that hip hop has folded into the mainstream, and there are so many outlets both on TV and online to showcase those outside of mainstream, I'm wondering if he can re-capture that magic.

I would like to have read the fine print, before he signed the contract...
....NO FIREBRANDS ALLOWED...which means, no Louis Farrakhan or Jerimiah Wright or Steve Clokeley,oop's?..he's dead.

I have been missing his show FOREVER. I hope the new show is almost identical to the format of the old show, especially with regards to his show being the place to premiere future superstars (like Mariah) and to showcase good music across ALL genres. I only wish the show was premiering this fall (as in next month) instead of next fall.
