Ashley Madekwe has exited ABC‘s drama series Revenge, according to Deadline.

The British actress will not return to the soap opera next season, because "her option was not picked up.

Apparently, in short, there's not much more of a story-line left for her character, Ashley Davenport(who has been with the series since the pilot episode), as it heads into its 3rd season.

If you're a fan of the series, your reactions?

Nothing (much) against the actress, but her character (in addition to the guy they killed off) was a total annoyance. I want diversity for all in media, but I do place quality above it. Not sad to see a shitty character go.

Honestly, they stretched her storyline out much further than I thought they would. She's not one of my fave characters.
If anything, they had her there for diversity.

Yeah, she lasted longer than I thought she would. They had to figure out a way to keep her on.

I think she'll pop up somewhere else soon. She's not a bad actress.
