Here is more news on the TV pilot and collaboration between Independent Film New York (IFNY) and NBCUniversal that we first broke on here last month. In a few weeks, on Malcolm X's birthday no less, the newly dubbed The Working Actor Monologue Slam with Malik Yoba will be holding their first round of casting auditions in Brooklyn, NY at Long Island University. Only five actors will make it to the actual pilot, so bring your A game folks!

The Working Actor Monologue Slam with Malik Yoba

Formerly the IFNY Monlogue Slam...The Working Actor Monologue Slam with Malik Yoba has teamed up with NBCUniversal to bring one of the best acting competitions in NYC to the most famous stage in the world and we are looking for five actors of diverse ethnicities to compete in an NBCUniversal sponsored game show competition/TV pilot.
For the last five years we have teamed up with The Malik Yoba National Theater and Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts to bring you an entertaining theater experience like no other.
We are looking for the best actors in NYC to perform and compete against our current monologue slam champion Jesenia Bailey in front of the casting directors, show runners and executives of NBCUniversal at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
