The first season of BBC's murder-mystery series Death In Paradise has been airing here in the U.S. on PBS since last month.

Death In Paradise is a light-hearted British mystery series that should easily develop a following here.

Check the synopsis:

Death In Paradise is a fish-out-of-water story about a quintessential English cop posted to the Caribbean island of Saint-Marie. To anyone else it would be paradise, but for Detective Inspector Richard Poole it's hell!

Brit actor Ben Miller (Primeval) and French actress Sara Martins (C.I.D., Orpailleur) star in the lead roles as Detective Inspector Richard Poole and Detective Camille Bordey, respectively. Danny John-Jules, Lenora Crichlow, Gary Carr, and Don Warrington co-star in the first season of this 8-part TV series.  The series also features loads of guest-stars, including Colin Salmon.

I'm not sure what determines which regions of the U.S. are able to watch Death In Paradise on PBS, but I did find a link that will enable you to watch the first episode online.  If you like what you see, I'd suggest you contact your local PBS station and see if they plan to add it to their schedule.

Watch Death in Paradise: Episode 1 on PBS. See more from KPBS Presents.

I tuned in to BBC Thursday, June 6, to watch my favorite TV show (The only one I actually make plans to watch!) and it was not on. What happened? Series 2 has not yet ended. When and where will it return?

I can't watch it anyway, there's no audio. I have no problem with sound on other sites so I don't believe it's my computer (which is only a year old anyway).
