By now, I wouldn't blame readers if they started to wonder whether actress Zawe Ashton (The Bill, Sherlock, Misfits) had some cousins, aunties, or uncles here at S&A. But let me assure you that it's pure coincidence she keeps making news today. Sometimes an actor just hits his/her stride and starts making waves.
Britscene.com reports that Series One of Case Histories, the BBC program in which Ashton co-stars, will be making its U.S. debut on PBS this October.
Case Histories was a six part series in the UK, but PBS will air them as 3 two hour specials on consecutive weeks beginning Sunday October 16, at 9pm ET. Based on the acclaimed novels by Kate Atkinson, Isaacs plays the private investigator Jackson Brodie, a tough former soldier and policeman with a heart of gold. Set in the city of Edinburgh, Brodie is haunted by a past family tragedy and struggles to balance his personal and professional life while coming to the rescue of the bereaved, the lost and the dysfunctional.
Ashton plays Deborah Arnold, receptionist to Jackson Brodie.
Blink during this brief trailer for the show, and you'll likely miss Ashton in it.
