Middle Of Nowhere Still - Ema, David

In June, the initial announcement from BET was that the TV premiere of Ava DuVernay's 2012 Sundance Film Festival winning film (Best Director Award), "Middle of Nowhere," was then set for Wednesday, July 23, at 9/8c.

Last month, the network moved the film's debut back by about 10 days, to today, Saturday, August 2, starting at 8pm/7c.

So for the many of you who never got to see the film, and have been emailing me over the last year, asking if I know when it will premiere on BET, you'll finally now have your opportunity to watch it. And if you won't be home tonight (it is Saturday night after all), be sure to set your DVRs to record it.

To be broadcast under its BET Premiere Cinema banner, "Middle of Nowhere" stars Emayatzy Corinealdi, Omari Hardwick, and David Oyelowo in a story that follows the struggles of an African American woman (played by Corinealdi) to maintain her marriage and identity, after her husband (Hardwick) is incarcerated.

Lorraine Touissaint, and Edwina Findley round out the film's key cast,

The film was jointly-acquired by Participant Media and AFFRM, and saw a limited theatrical release in October 12, 2012.

Its BET premiere on tomorrow will mark its first ancillary release since its 2012 theatrical run, which should be music to the ears of many of you who still haven't seen the acclaimed drama.

In the meantime, watch its trailer below as a refresher, and look to Saturday night, when the film will debut:
