It's being reported that Beyonce is in talks to join (one assumes once she loses the baby weghtResse Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz and Andy Samberg in the musical comedy One Hit Wonders.

The film, which will be co-written and directed by Ryan Murphy the creator of Glee, Nip/Tuck and American Horror Story and the director of Eat Pray Love, is about three former pop stars (Witherspoon, Paltrow and Diaz) who hit it big briefly in the 90's and deciide to band together to form a new music group to try to recapture their old glory.

It has not been revealed what role Beyonce would play in the film, but if I had to venture a guess, how about playing somene like herself, a major popular singer idolized by millions around the world who coaches the ex-pop stars, though hard struggles and disappointments of course, to regain their stardom..

The film will be made by Sony Pictures, whose production chief Any Pascal, is reported to have quickly snatched up the project in 10 minutes when Murphy made his pitch to her.

How this effects Beyonce's planned A Star is Born remake to be directed by Clint Eastwood is not known as yet.

It'll be good to see her in a comedy since her acting skills are a joke

With the popularity of Glee and now this Smash series, not to mention all the "instant-pop-star" reality shows and also most any skit involving music on SNL, I see why she quickly snapped up this role.

Yeah, I think she's supposed to be playing the young hot thing of which all the other women are jealous. And that comment about her weight was unnecessary; let's see you talk about Denzel's gut the next time he books a job.
