Some more quickie TV casting news...

First, Bill Cobbs has landed a recurring role as a character named George on NBC’s comedy pilot Go On, which stars Matthew Perry as an irreverent yet charming sportscaster who tries to move on from loss and finds solace from the members of his mandatory group therapy sessions.

Cobbs' "George" character is described as "a gentleman with a long list of life and health issues, who is in a support group with Matthew Perry’s character, Ryan."

Cobb will next be seen on the big screen in Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great and Powerful.

Second,  NeNe Leakes, everyone's favorite Real Housewife Of ATL, continues to parlay that series' success into legit acting work - first her recurring role on the current season of Glee, as rival cheerleading coach Roz Washington; and now she's re-teaming with Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy for a role on his NBC comedy pilot The New Normal, which centers on "a blended family of a gay couple and their surrogate."

Ms Leakes will play a character named Rocky. No description of Rocky available yet.

I would rather take a bath in a vat of boiling oil than watch Nene Leakes try to act.
