CV Nation

Check out season2/episode 1 of this new superhero web series titled CV Nation, created by DeWayne Copeland and Scott F. Evans.

We featured season 1 about a year ago, and apparently, the series attracted enough of an audience to inspire its creators to produce a second season.

Here's how they describe it:

Enter a world where Costumed Vigilantes are MADE, not born. Follow a group of enforcers, as they fight crime... and each other.

Based on episodes of season 1 that I watched (and in the first episode below from the recently-launched season 2), it all could be tighter, especially the technicals. I think a few tweaks and upgrades here and there could make it a much-better looking series. But I assume they're not working with a big budget, and I have to applaud the ambition here.

It also appears that the focus is more on character development and study than on special effects-laden action sequences.

I'll keep up with the series to see where it goes.
