The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on August 17, but before that, on July 31, Sparkle: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be available for purchase from RCA Records.

We've already heard 2 singles from the 11-song soundtrack (Celebrate, produced by R. Kelly, and featuring the vocal talents of stars Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston and Houston's version on the gospel classic His Eye Is On The Sparrow).

And now here's a third, featuring the vocal talents of Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter, and Jordin Sparks, singing one of the most popular songs from the original movie soundtrack, Something He Can Feel - composed by Curtis Mayfield, and later became a number-one hit on the Billboard's R&B singles chart in the USA twice with two separate recordings: a 1976 version by Aretha Franklin from the film's soundtrack, and again the 1992 cover by En Vogue.

The film's soundtrack will also include all the songs from the original film's soundtrack as well as new original music by Cee Lo Green, who also has a role in the movie. And listen for the voices of Tika Sumpter and Carmen Ejogo, who co-star as well.

To listen to Ejogo, Sumpter, and Sparks sing the song, click HERE (it's not embeddable); at the link, you'll find several of the other tracks from the soundtrack, in full. And below, watch Lonette McKee, Irene Cara and Dwan Smith perform the song in the original movie.
