Casting Call For Black Men, Women & Children For "Django Unchained" (I Wonder What Parts For)

A New Orleans casting call has been posted for Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained (one of the most anticipated movies of 2012), which started principal photography about a week or two ago.

The February 15th casting call is for extras for a New Orleans shoot, and they're looking specifically for African American Men,Women, & Children, preferably with natural hair.

I'll give you 1 guess as to what roles you'll be playing in this; just one :)

    People aren't "less than" because they picked cotton. Both my parents did it at one point because that's what was available to them. Having said that, I know nothing about this movie and roles for enslaved people don't seem to allow for much camera time. But I do wish that people would stop acting like enslaved Africans were undignified "pic-a-ninnies" we should be ashamed of.

    The only time I see HWD specifically requesting natural hair and there's a "cotton pickin" catch to it! HWD, you're too much!

    I got an email for this casting last week and the email said and i quote looking for African American men,women,and children to play cotton picking slaves for a plantation scene. Pay is tbd.
