Well, it's not for the adaptation of The Book Of Negroes, which I think is the one upcoming Clement virgo project that most of us would rather see first, instead of a remake of The Harder They Come, but this could assist in some way in getting that other project financed.

Gabrielle Union has signed on to host BET's 5th annual BET Honors show, which will air on the network on February 13th at 9PM (although it'll be taped on Januaryn 14th when the event actually happens).

From a list penned by Richard Corliss, senior writer for Time magazine, highlighting 2011's best big screen performances, I was absolutely shocked to see these 2 names make the short list of 5 on the women's side: Ameena Matthews and Khomotso Manyaka.

The nominations for the 17th annual Lumière awards - essentially the French equivalent of the Golden Globes, as foreign press based in France select the best in French cinema - were announced this morning, and amongst the names and titles on the list of honorees include our man, Omar Sy, and the film he stars in, Intouchables, as well as Aki Kaurismäki's French immigration dramedy Le Havre, another film we've highlighted here on S&A.
