Here's your first look at a psychological thriller we've been following since last fall - Désordres (Chaos), starring Isaach De Bankolé and French-Rwandan actress Sonia Rolland, as history professor Vincent, and his wife Marie who have just moved from Paris (with their son) into a farm near a small town in the south of France, looking forward to a quieter life. Marie, a retired renowned international pianist unwillingly follows her husband. From the very beginning, Thibaut, one of Vincent’s students (played by Niels Schneider), disrupts their family getaway, and slowly, the couple starts to come apart.

I believe it was 3 years ago that we featured a short film based on this very subject - Dock Ellis & The LSD No-No, which was based on a colorful recording by former baseball pitcher Dock Ellis, describing how he pitched a no-hitter in 1970 while under the influence of LSD. Ellis, for his part, became an anti-drug crusader before he passed a few years ago.

“Sydney Maree is one of the world’s fastest runners. There’s no argument about that. The controversy is over whether he is the hero, or the villain, or the victim, of a tale that might have been written by Horatio Alger and Franz Kafka.” - Bob Lipsyte, CBS

For The Cause is an upcoming feature film from writer/director/producer Katherine Nero, which wrapped principal photography just last month, and is currently in post-production, thanks to the $65,000+ Nero successfully raised earlier this year, which was enough to kickstart the production.
