A film based on the late rapper/actor's life is still in Limbo (Antoine Fuqua was to direct it, and even began the casting process 2 springs ago, but nothing came from that, and Fuqua left the project; John Singleton then was said to have taken over for Fuqua, but then he left the project as well); but a Tupac Shakur Broadway musical is indeed in the works with Kenny Leon (maybe the most popular black director working on Broadway right now; although there aren't exactly many of them) helming.

His acclaimed crime drama Man On Ground, traveled the international film festival circuit from 2011 through last year, after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in the Contemporary World Cinema category, and Nigerian writer/director Akin Omotoso is onto his next feature film project, titled Night Has Fallen, was written by both Omotoso and Mark Johnston, and is described as a political drama.

I'm glad I decided to watch this interview with award-winning Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who's been on press junket duties lately as her new novel (her third), titled Americanah, will land on Stateside shores on May 14, 2013, published by Knopf. Although it's already been released (or will very soon be released) in other parts of the world, before it hits the USA (I know it becomes available for purchase today in the UK, April 11).

Lionsgate has, once again, pushed the release date for Stuart Beattie's I, Frankenstein, which has previously pushed back 7 months, from February 22 to September 13, 2013, and has now been moved again to January 24, 2014.
