A quick recap... as reported about 2 months ago, Nigerian filmmaker Jeta Amata decided to rethink and reshoot his political corruption drama about the volatile oil-rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria, Black Gold, one of very few recent Hollywood/Nollywood-style collabs which stars Billy Zane (yup, that Billy Zane), Tom Sizemore, Vivica Fox, Sarah Wayne Callies (who's currently starring in AMC's hit new zombie series, The Walking Dead), Mbong Amata, Hakeem Kae Kazim (the Brit/Nigerian who has appeared in several British and American TV shows and films), and several others.

Though 20th Century Fox has not offically said anything, there are rumblings that they might postpone the release of their big summer comedy film Neighborhood Watch because of, what one would call, unfortunate timing; that being the Treyvon Martin shooting, which is still very much a very hot, intensely controversial issue.

I doubt he needs much of an introduction around here; his name has come up quite a bit, especially in the last 12 months, that he's now practically nearing super-star status; and rightfully so! Watch Restless City for a glimpse at the kind of magic he creates with light.
