Check out this trailer for a film called Touch, from Brit filmmaker Shola Amoo, whose past work we've featured on S&A - an experimental short film he co-directed with Nosa Nedion, titled Reparations For The Soul, which starred Ashley Walters (watch it HERE if you missed it).As we continue to have conversations about black filmmakers producing "outside-the-box" work, I thought this was also worth sharing.Shola says it's an arthouse/sci-fi/fantasy film which follows Jessica and George, who meet in an open field at a specific time and place everyday. George is in love – but unbeknownst to him, Jessica hides a devastating secret. As Jessica’s feelings for George grow, she must make an important decision that will change her life forever. The synopsis obviously doesn't give away much - I'm left wondering what the fantasy/sci-fi aspect of the film is, and I'm certainly interested in finding out, based on the teaser below. The film stars Tanya Fear (we recently announced that she'll be making her feature film debut in Kick-Ass 2 later this year), Alexis Rodney and Nina Edwards.Touch is Shola's graduation film from The National Film and Television School in the UK, and he says that he's aiming to debut it on the film festival circuit, and hopes its travels well.In the meantime, watch the teaser below for a tease of what to expect: Touch (2013)Trailer from Shola Amoo on Vimeo.

It's not easy being an actor. Just ask Terrence Howard who recently admitted that his career has been a wild trip of ups and downs. But mostly downs.

There are people who love (and I mean LOVE) Carmen Jones, 20th Century Fox's 1954 film with Dorothy Dandridge and Harry Bellafonte (with Pearl Bailey and a very very young Diahann Carroll as well) and directed by the great Otto Preminger

The psychological thriller is titled Désordres (Chaos), and it stars Isaach De Bankolé and French-Rwandan actress Sonia Rolland, as history professor Vincent and his wife Marie, who have just moved from Paris (with their son) to a farm near a small town in the south of France, looking forward to a quieter life. Marie, a retired renowned international pianist unwillingly follows her husband. However, their hopes for a serene escape is disrupted from the very beginning, when Thibaut, one of Vincent’s students (played by Niels Schneider), invades their family getaway, and slowly, but surely, the couple starts to come apart. The film is directed by Étienne Faure.

What has been dubbed a definitive documentary on the man's life, the upcoming Richard Pryor feature documentary, directed by Marina Zenovich (known mostly for directing the multiple award-winning 2008 documentary Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired), will make its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival next month. Richard Pryor's widow, Jennifer Lee Pryor, is a producer of the film, and she's the one who calls it a definitive documentary:
