With The Avengers movie well on its way to raking in $1 billion worldwide, it's of absolutely zero surprise that Disney made it official yesterday that a sequel to the franchise is on its way! D'uh!

So I finally saw Think Like A Man over the weekend and you might be surprised to know that I actually enjoyed it for the most part; it's cute, entertaining, knows what it is, and doesn't try to be anything more; light and frothy with humor and some drama, and moves along briskly enough to keep you engaged.

This is a project that's been in the works since 2010, which was when we first announced it; at the time, Taraji P. Henson was reportedly in talks to star in the movie - playwright/director David E. Talbert's rom-com, Baggage Claim, based on his best-selling debut novel about a flight attendant with thirty days and thirty thousand miles to find a husband.

I wouldn't say La Haine and Do The Right Thing are forever to be intertwined; but it's rare that I come across a paper or enter a discussion about the former film without the latter being mentioned as an influence, or in some cases, a flatout ripoff.

MTV had the exclusive on this, which struck me initially, because I wondered why anything Madea-related would premiere on MTV, given that the audience for Madea films aren't necessarily in MTV's targer demo.
