Can't say I've heard much buzz around this project... yet; although it won't be out until July 6th, which seems like an odd date to release a drama like this. But maybe the thinking is that it could be a bit of counter programming, given what will be a deluge of mega-budgeted summer action flicks.

For all you filmmakers and enthusiasts in the Houston area, there is an exciting Black film event happening during the next few months courtesy of Our Image Film and Arts. They are doing an "exhibit" at Project Row Houses (in which art projects are presented in historic shotgun houses on Holman St. in Houston’s Third Ward) where they have their own house that will be "open to audiences" through June with special short film screenings this Saturday, April 14.

One of 5 (or is it 6) black films in stateside theaters this month alone (read my post about that HERE if you haven't)... the T.D. Jakes-produced thriller Woman Thou Art Loosed: On The 7th Day, which Codeblack Entertainment will release this Friday, April 13th via its new AMC Independent agreement.
