Image Entertainment is the (primarily) acquisition and distribution company releasing recent titles on video that we've written about, like Dysfunctional Friends, and the Berine Mac documentary, I Ain't Scared Of You, amongst many others; their library is indeed quite vast and varied (not just black film).

Previously profiled on S&A, it made its world premiere in the Panorama Documentary section at the Berlin Film Festival in February; and now Dagmar Shultz's Audre Lorde - The Berlin Years 1984 to 1992 is scheduled to make its UK premiere on April 14th at Fringe Film Gay Film Festival which takes place at the Rich Mix (35-47 Bethnal Green Road, London E1 6LA) in East London.

Received word over the weekend that some S&A actor favorites - Dorian Missick, Yaya DaCosta and Gbenga Akinnagbe - have all signed on to star in Neil Drumming's feature film directorial debut titled Big Words.

It premiered at the Urbanworld Film Festival last fall (when we first profiled it), and will have its theatrical premiere on April 13th in select markets - specifically, Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, D.C., Los Angeles, New Jersey and New York. And I've now got the exact theaters in those cities the film will play in.
