Scheduled to take place during Oscar weekend (on February 24th) a special spotlight event in Hollywood called Eye on Black, which will see a group of black directors feted, including Ava DuVernay, Bill Duke, Haile gerima, Chris Robinson, and Debbie Allen.

Indomina Entertainment is reportedly close to a deal to acquire Sheldon Candis' Sundance Film Festival 2012 drama LUV (starring Common) - the one film that was on my short list of films to see at the festival that I wasn't able to (hence no review of it from me).

Attack The Block was a SXSW Midnight selection last year by the way... so that should give you some idea of the kinds of films one can expect to see from that particular group of films.
