While you're hoping for a return of In Living Color, you might want to check out this sketch comedy series that airs on Sunday nights on the Adult Swim network, titled, Loiter Squad.Despite now in its second season, I actually never heard of the series until late last week when I received an email from a rep at Turner Broadcasting, alerting me to it. Tyler, Lionel, Jasper and Taco are back for a second season of shenanigans in Loiter Squad, a 15 minute live-action show that features sketches, man on the street segments, pranks and music from Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. The cast, featuring the Los Angeles collective of rappers, artists, and skateboarders, channel their multi-faceted creative talents in this off-the-wall showcase.Anyone watching the show? It comes from the same production company (Dickhouse Entertainment) behind hit properties like Jackass and Ridiculousness, which should give you some idea of what to expect, if you're not already familiar, although I wouldn't exactly call it Jackass, the black version, because it's not - based on the few clips I watched this afternoon.Season 2 premiered over the weekend, on Sunday at Midnight (ET/PT) on Adult Swim, and it airs every Sunday at midnight.Like I said, I watched a few clips on the show's website; it's not what I'd call laugh-out-loud funny (not to me anyway), and it's definitely not In Living Color, but I thought I should mention it here, so you guys can check it out these young brothas doing their thing for yourselves! You may actually fall in love with the show!Watch a selection of 3 clips below for a sample; to see more, click HERE:

I'm still waiting for Tyreese's story to be featured far more than it has thus far; assuming he survives this season (with 3 episodes left, and a war coming), maybe he'll become more of a prominent character next season.

I'll be compiling the data this week for a future post, but, at a brief glance, I can say that, without a doubt, there are more castings of black actors in TV pilots this year than there were last year, and maybe even previous years.
