Since NBC blessed the viewing public with a sneak preview Revolution, the new JJ Abrams and Eric Kripke (Supernatural) speculative fiction drama (I kind of don’t feel it’s quite sci-fi, a la Abrams’ Fringe or post-apocalyptic) it think it only fair for it to be a special edition of this week’s column. It should be no surprise to anyone who's a devoted fan (like me) of Larry David's HBO comedy series, Curb Your Enthusiasm, that the show's regular supporting player JB Smoove, has joined the cast of David's HBO movie, Clear History, set to start shooting this fall in Massachussetts.

Man, that Terry Crews is one hard working actor. Not only is he a regular on HBO's The Newsroom and TBS' Are We There Yet?  he's now joined the cast for the new season of the comedy series Arrested Development which has been revived by Netflix and currently in production.

Well, it's not the Marvin Gaye project he's been trying to make for years now, but Jesse L. Martin is returning to NBC's musical drama series Smash, in a recurring role as Scott Welker, an Artistic Director of a theater company, who has some history with characters on the show, and may even get involved with Debra Messing’s character Julia.
