Maybe it's a crisis of conscience realizing that there's a desperate need for better black images on TV; or maybe just because the song and video just suck big time (I've seen it and my ears and eyes are still bleeding), but it's being reported that BET is banning Nicki Minaj's latest video, Stupid Hoe, from the network.

Its first season isn't even over yet, but, after reported strong early ratings numbers, the Showtime Network has renewed Don Cheadle's new dark comedy TV series House Of Lies, which stars Cheadle as Marty, a highly successful, cutthroat consultant who will use any means (or anyone) necessary to get his clients the information that they want.

Screen Africa is reporting that South African film and stage veteran John Kani will star in that country's first locally produced telenovela, Inkaba, when pay-TV channel Mzansi Magic begins airing the program on March 19.
