The CW Network Bringing New Canadian Series "The L.A. Complex" To The USA

The CW network is said to bein final negotiations to acquire an upcoming Canadian soap opera titled The L.A. Complex (6 episodes already produced, and maybe an additional 7 later), which has drawn comparisons to another soap opera, Melrose Place, - essentially, a show revolving around the lives of a group of 20-somethings living in the same LA apartment complex, each chasing Hollywood dreams.

It's become something of a running joke... the differences in how cases in which whites go missing are handled by law enforcers and the media, versus similar cases in which blacks (and other minority groups) are the victims.

It was just this past Sunday that Oprah confessed that her OWN cable channel has been a disappointment ratings-wise. But things might possibly be looking up, now that her new show on the network, Oprah's Next Chapter, looks to be a genuine hit.

Back in May I wrote an item for S&A "Should Black Celebrities Boycott Celebrity Apprentice?' " (HERE) in which I asked should black celebrities appear on the show after fake billionaire and twice bankrupted con man Donald Trump ran his obviously phony and blantantly racist presidential run tease and PR stunt. (Remember though that it didn't bother him since "the blacks", you know "those people", loved him.)
