Media sources are announcing that CBS did not pick up Martin Lawrence's return to sit-com TV planned for next season.
The unitiled pilot, which was to co-star Regina Hall, was centered around the premise of Lawernce playing a widowed father of two teenage boys who pursues a career as a cop, after losing his construction job.
No official word was given for why the network refused to pursue the pilot as a regular series.

They didn't picked the pilot because it was "too" black.
Shit...What kind of bullshit is this?

If it didn't get picked up by CBS i'm sure they can put the show on hold and try to get it picked up next year because it sounds like a great show really funny and i am a big fan of Martin Lawrence.

martin has fans coming from stand up-movies-and then obviously tv. While i liked a lot of his movies I was even more a fan of his stand up and the tv show so this really disappoints me. I was REALLY looking to watching (and possibly auditioning for) this show...lol
He'll be back!
